Working on Joolma

I’ve been working on a Joolma site all evening becoming very frustrated with my lack of knowledge.  I have read and followed everything I can possibly find on menus and submenus.  I downloaded a fantastic template but if you can’t get it to work correctly it doesn’t matter how fantastic the template looks.
